Signature Theatre Stage Door

So I was curious where the stage door for Signature Theatre is. I am seeing 'Signature Plays' tomorrow. I have never been to Signature Theatre and I am thinking there are more than one stage?  I believe it is playing at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre. I was told the stage door was just the upstairs lobby?

I believe they come out of the lobby by the restrooms for that space. Enjoy those shows they are quite something

Yes they just come into the lobby.

When I saw the show last week, nearly the entire cast was out in the lobby before the audience left their seats. I didn't hang around to see if they were signing, but just be aware: it seems like they tend to leave quickly.

And just to be clear: the actors were exiting from the  doors near the Griffith Theatre, NOT by the bathrooms. Those doors only lead to the backstage area of the Diamond Theatre.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

When I saw SIGNATURE PLAYS last week, the entire cast exited into the main lobby from the hallway by the men's restrooom and were happily meeting friends and audience members.  Perhaps there are multiple ways out of the Griffin depending on how social they're feeling or who they know is waiting to see them.

That could be. When I saw the show last weekend, they were coming out of the side doors near the Griffith, by the little bar area over there. By the time I made it from my seat to the lobby (no more than 3-4 minutes after curtain), Frank Wood, Phyllis Somerville, Crystal Dickison, Alison Fraser and Sahr Ngaujah were already either in the lobby area or in the process of exiting.

Still in costume/makeup, AC?  Maybe that was a special occasion/event.  I've always seen the standard Diamond/ Griffin stage door exits (15 minutes post-show, street-ready) to be from the main lobby hallway (which also happens to house the men's restroom).  Either way, it's pretty easy to keep an eye on both lobbies.  Everyone at Signature (actors included) has to exit down the main stairway (or in the stairway-adjacent elevators).  And there seems to be a no-going-backstage policy — I've seen everyone from Bill Irwin to David Hyde Pierce to Tyne Daly waiting in the main lobby to meet exiting castmembers.  Post-show(s) is always a fun atmosphere at the Signature Center! :)

Not in costume. They were in street clothes.

The cast came out the doors next to the men's restroom. Alison Fraser told me earlier today where the cast exited.

When I saw Girlstar there the cast used that same exit and they were in the other theatre so I'm guessing that's the main way out. Some go down the stairs where we came up and some walked to the left and used those stairs to leave.
