Agreed! I saw the tour in Chicago and it was fantastic. I saw Patina in NY and while she could sing terrifically, she wasn't funny enough. I loved this cast!

The tour was good but not as good as the Broadway cast. Ta'Rea completely lacked the sex appeal and edge that Patina brought to the role. She had a cutesy approach, that I assume is similar to Raven's take. Hollis' vocals were not up to par with her Broadway counterparts. And the nun ensemble just did not stand out like they did on Broadway.

I too enjoyed the broadway cast more, ljay889. I've seen Rashidra, Patina, Raven, and Ta'Rea. Raven's take was actually much less cute than Ta'Rea's. Though a small moment, Raven's reaction to Pablo getting shot was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I couldn't really click with Ta'Rea as Deloris. She was good though.

Question for those who have seen the show - is it just me, or is it impossible to not leave this show floating on cloud nine? I have never walked out of a theatre so happy in my entire life.

saw it 7 times on Broadway and once on tour. Left on cloud nine every time. Such a feel good show. I miss it.

It is THE feel good show. My face physically hurt from smiling and laughing so much. "Spread the Love" is one of the most happy and uplifting finales ever.

I felt good after every time, but I was beaming after the first time. I love this show!

A friend gave me her tickets at the last minute, so I went, dragging my husband. Really enjoyed it! Wish they could have used some remixed familiar songs like they did in the movie, but the songs were great. Things really got going for me once she got to the convent. Thought all the actors were very good, and Delores can sing, as can Mary Robert. The priest with his Barry White voice was a hoot.

Let me apologize to the performers for having to perform in Phoenix in June. 119 degrees yesterday.
