Six Dance Lessons wasn't awful per se, but it sure wasn't any good either. It actually has a future although that future ought to steer clear of any major theatre, either in NY or the road. It is an unsophisticated simple-ish play that doesn't tax the intellect at all.
Its potential lies in bus-and-truck, stock, little theatre and the like. The play does have two star parts and could turn into The Love Boat of the hinterlands.
"If my life weren't funny, it would just be true. And that would be unacceptable."
--Carrie Fisher
