i'm digging the idea of a musical 'breakfast club'. i'm envisioning the 'nerd' of the group singing about how sad he is while the orchestration reflects his flare gun going off in his locker, quickly dissipating as the flashback ends and the other students respond with chorus based sympathies. i love it.

There was something either in the fringe festival or off broadway based on the Breakfast Club, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a musical. I wanted to see it but never did.
