me blacking out during the 'nyc' tapdance number from 'annie' is the worst i've seen... does that happen all that often? i havn't heard much of it, but it seems like it would...
it'll be hard for me to see him in the flesh as opposed to a cartoon character... too many episodes of 'the critic'... but is there such thing? on second thought, i'll go watch a few more.
i'm digging the idea of a musical 'breakfast club'. i'm envisioning the 'nerd' of the group singing about how sad he is while the orchestration reflects his flare gun going off in his locker, quickly dissipating as the flashback ends and the other students respond with chorus based sympathies. i love it.
is the student version really all that different from the original? i'm not really familiar with either one (how uncultured of me) but i've heard from a few people there are only a few minor changes...
first of all, thanks to broadwayworld.com and everyone who posts on it! there isn't a lot of theatre or theatre resources where i live, so it's nice to have some connection. i'm trying to get better aquainted with the industry, and i was wondering... does anyone know of any good broadway history resources? online... books... anything anyone might know of would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
