Posted: 3/23/04 at 10:47pmIt wasn't Marlon Brando at Long Wharf, it was Martin Landau. Hell, if Marlon Brando was in New Haven, I'd have travelled by plane, train or automobile to have seen THAT.

Posted: 3/24/04 at 6:04amThe show takes place in the area of Israel I believe . The only role Brando could play would be the entire middle east land mass

Forget where it ran, but there was an interview with Brando where he was looking at some pictures of himself from "Streetcar" or around that era.
"I was beautiful then," he said. "But I'm much nicer now."
An amazing moment of self-awareness. I still think he's a fascinating American original, no matter how he's ended up.

I don't know.
I don't see gaining 900 lbs., buying an island and lounging all day in a muu-muu as a bad thing.
Let's face it, I'd sell an organ to have that at this point.

I saw an early performance this past weekend. Kind of thought-provoking. Takes place in the Netherlands but the issues deal with the Isreali-Palestinian conflicts and deep-seated prejudices.
If I'm being honest, I would not pay for a ticket to see this. I was....bored. But if you have some interest in the issues it may be really interesting.
