Really, I could totally understand. All the laughing made it a little hard but I still understood.

What is your dream role?
My dream role would be to be myself. To be performing at the Hollywood Bowl and to have an audience there just to see me, as Stephanie. They are there because they like what I do as a singer, an artist and a person (the last being the most important). I enjoy escaping and portraying other characters, but to be accepted and wanted as yourself... that's amazing! --Stephanie J. Block Just one of the many reasons I admire and respect Stephanie!!

i'll tell you why B&B was lip-synching. shows that have more singers than the bcefa tech can handle (there's limited sound and musical capabilities when you have 20 shows coming thru) will sometimes track their bonnet number. each cast gets very limited time to tech their number onstage before the show, so in a lot of ways it makes big skits easier to get on stage during the tech time. i can tell you they were lip-synching to their own voices. it's no different than what they do on the macy's parade. if you noticed...they also had an orchestra accompanying them where most of the other skits only had piano.

that's why.

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, "I will try again tomorrow."

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.

What was the Wicked skit? I saw Eden yesterday when I was on my way home, and her face was painted. IT made me wonder.

The winners are up on Playbill! Lots of mistakes in the article though:
The national tour that raised the most: Mamma Mia, the Shiz Company in Chicago -- $206,044. (shouldn't that say Wicked?)

And Todd, not Tom, Buonopane from Spelling Bee.

I wish Harry, Julia, and Ana had made an appearance yesterday as well. Oh well.

And Tyler, Barrett, and Rod look adorable.

I am happy to see that the skits/bonnets that I thought should win did. I saw the bonnets on Monday. It was my first time attending (because I am usually working) and I had so much fun. I have previous one on tape, but being there live is another story. I can't wait till next year!

Best EAster Bonnet I have ever seen. From the opening til the end. The opening number was amazing and well Doris Eaton Travis was the highlight as always. I am so proud to be a BCEFA Volunteer and see what an amazing comunity it is.

That was an amazing performance!

I'll be able to distill my thoughts better tomorrow (just got home!), but going in with no idea of what I was about to see I was so impressed.

I think it was interesting to see which shows went for the comedy and which others went for serious performances.

Wait- so Julia, Harry, and Ana only made an appearance today? That was kind of random. (Glad they didn't get a standing O though. Ms. Travis was the only one who deserved one for showing up!)

I had a great time! This was my first Easter Bonnet and I wasn't disappointed. Highlights: Mamma Mia...hilarious! "So I didn't leave her a tip." re: Skit by Skit, Loving Easter Bonnet. Hairspray: Michelle Dowdy has balls for getting on that stage wearing what she was wearing and shaking her tassles...lol. Wicked: Megan was ADORABLE with her lisp...she sounded just like Logan from Spelling Bee! And Robb Sapp is one hell of a skater. re: Skit by Skit, Loving Easter Bonnet. And of course Little Sally and Officer Lockstock from Urinetown were hilarious...Urinetown Revival 2007!

Just saw the photos from the event. I'm so glad to see that Julia Roberts made an appearance. I was wondering whether she would or not.
