Those $25 seats are actually available for all performances - they are the last two rows of the mezz, and having sat there for other shows, I can tell you that the seats are quite good. It's a small theater and you don't feel as if you're sitting in New Jersey.

Is this the first Broadway play where the lead actors have the play's title in their names?

Better than that, Scrippsy; the first Broadway play where the ENTIRE CAST has the ENTIRE TITLE WITHOUT REARRANGING ANY LETTERS in their names. So black to you, perhaps. So red to me...

Just got home from this. Wow. What a show. Those two are giving stellar performances, which I made sure to tell them afterwards. The $25 are totally worth it, as someone said, you don't feel like you are in New Jersey, although I did find myself wishing I could watch those performances from a little closer. I thought the writing was great but the script had a couple problems, if you know what I mean. The quality of the writing was great, and it was all very natural sounding, but the script was very predictable at times. Overall a great show, definitely worth checking out, even from the $25 seats. Also, for those who have seen it, (possible spoiler?) was the bulb supposed to explode while they were painting the canvas?

There have to have been some one man shows before that fit that criteria as well :)

Also, when I was there last night (Wednesday) they were already handing out Opening Night Playbills.

I didn't notice a bulb explode during the canvas painting scene.

Interesting. It definitely wasn't something that you could miss. It was so perfectly timed with the music and they played it off as if it was supposed to happen, so we really couldn't tell.

the bulb didn't blow during the performance i saw, so im going to guess that it wasn't supposed to happen but they are incredibly professional actors who made it all seem natural.

have to say that i LOVED this play. and im actually surprised to hear that people didn't like it, or even think it might be polarizing.... i just found it incredibly compelling, thought provoking, and exhausting (in a good way). thoroughly enjoyed it. would recommend it to friends.
