I'm going with my girlfriend, I'm so excited! Okay, it's in the second-to-last row of the highest mezz, still...
Is there any of you nice folks who might be there?
And what famous people do you think regularly attend that I might see? Hmmm....

i'm going
i'm also in the third mezz...i was in the first mezz last year and it was great, but i'm sure that these seats will be fine!
Will be in first mezz again. Year before last the understudies for the Ave Q cast were behind us - it was great when the show won (I said congrats to understudy (at the time) Barret Foa as we left)!!! The 12 year old gal sitting next to us carrying the broom wasn't pleased though.....
I am going. Not sure which mezz. But my friend got my seat through the Tony Committee.

Hahaha
I will be going to the Tony's. I am very excited. Last year we were down in the Orchestra about 10 rows from the stage. It was amazing. I don't know where I will be this year. But it will be fun!!!
From what I hear, the 3rd mezz isn't THAT bad...and it's not like I'm spending all my time up there, anyway.
I have been told that we will be seated before the celebrities get there. That there is a seperate entrance. Once seated we cannot leave the theatre and I was told that you can't go downstairs during the show and they ask that you be seated whenever the show is "on air". Our tickets say Black Tie.
I'll be there, up in the 3rd balcony too. Taking my binoculars. I'll be wearing black tie. Going solo. Boyfriend has no interest (talk about a mixed marriage!)

I'll be there as well, also in the third balcony. Apparently the seats really aren't that bad up there!
Trying to find a decent close up of myself to use as my icon so if any of you see me at the Tonys, you can say hello! It would be nice to meet some of the people I chat with here.

Aw, crap!
I want to go at some point in my life, but I want to pick a really, really good year to go; I want to be at the awards following a really strong season. I feel like going is probably something I'll never do, even if I do have that kind of money at some point, because every year, I'll be like "well, what if next year is better?" or something.
That's what I was told by a few friends who go. And it is a very long evening. I think we have to be there by 5:00 or 5:30. But who cares....it's the Tonys! I have always dreamed of going and I am finally going to be there. (I also dreamed of being nominated!!!)
Julia Roberts has been announced as a presenter. And so is Alfre Woodard (My favorite actress).
I'm going. I'll be in the third mezzanine in the second row. I'm really excited. Will they let you bring binoculars in and use them when the show is on the air??

*raises hand* I'm going. My mom bought the tickets while I was away, so I don't know how good (or, as I should say, bad) the seats are :) And that's a good question Just_John, I was wondering the same thing about binoculars...
I'll be there! I know I'm in the orchestra but I'm not sure where, yet.
Not this year. Next year though. This it interferes with my finals.
I'm going I'm so excited my friend got me the tickets and I'm like 15 rows from the stage, I so super excited!!!!
How are you people getting Orchestra seats!? saving thousands of dollars??
I got mine through a friend whos in a show right now, I didn't have to pay anything he just gave me mine.
I went last year. You can't take pictures of anything since they check your camera at the door. You don't walk on the red carpet you go through a door on the opposite side of the building. There is a separate blocked off entrance once you're inside Radio City, so that even seeing celebs in the lobby will be nearly impossible. You can't go to any of the other levels without a spy mission. These ushers are tough.
3rd balcony is rough my friend, bring *strong* binoculars and be prepared to watch the giant screens most of the time.

I'll be at the LA gathering.
Owing to the weakness of the slate this year, I'll be perfectly happy to hob-nob with the wrong-coasters.
And we get LIZA
