I am going to see Julia Murney's concert on Monday, but I have never been to a solo concert of a Broadway performer's before. I'm just wondering what the proper attire is for one of these. I am prepared with anything from a cocktail dress to a skirt to black pants to nice jeans (all of these obviously with a nice top). Suggestions?

Birdland is pretty casual.

Bump! Never been to Birdland- what's the protocol? (besides pretty casual) Does that mean like nice jeans or black pants? Or would I be good with a skirt too?

They have no dress code, so you'll probably see all of those things. Casual neat is probably the best description.
