The costumes look pretty fantastic, but I'm having a bit of trouble distinguishing between what's a costume and what isn't.
I can recognize the traditional Mark scarf (wewt), Angel's Act One La Vie Boheme Drag Outfit, some Collins elements...
I admit, it's the coats that are really confusing me. I assume the big heavy green one Anthony's wearing, the blue one Adam's wearing, the toque(!) Adam's wearing...aren't part of the movie. Especially since I saw the Roger-esque leather jacket as well.
But something is plaguing me.
Instead of a big plaid coat on Anthony, I'm seeing a form-fitting suede jacket? Is that the new...Mark-chic? Am I behind?
I miss the plaid already...
Anyways, Anthony, if you read this...you all look great, and thrilled. I'm so happy this is being done.
Mark's plaid coat was apparently too busy for the camera, so it's not in the film. He's wearing a tan-ish corduroy jacket, and then the rest of the "normal" Mark outfit - brown cords, sweater, scarf. (Anthony, correct me if you see this and I'm wrong!) ETA - and yes, he *does* change his clothes.
A lot of the pictures you're seeing are of the cast in costume, but wearing big puffy coats over them because it was just so cold out. So yeah, Adam and Anthony won't really be wearing those big green and blue coats that you're seeing or anything like that. Adam's wearing the leather and jeans - I forgot to find out if we'll be seeing purple plaid. Jesse's costume is pretty close to the Broadway one, as is Angel's.
I saw everybody except Taye, and they all look fantastic.

mark's coat isn't plaid because it would be too distracting on the camera.
i hope that roger's pants are still plaid, even if it is a "calmer" plaid...

About Mark's plaid coat - Anthony mentioned that the plaid was too busy for the screen!

Anyone know where I can find them or am I as Velma Kelly would say "sh*t out of luck my dear"

The ones that got deleted here are on CB.

Just browse around the RENT: The Movie forum.
THANX luvtheMC,
SMOOCHES!
Those pictures from Katy got deleted from CB too, I'm afraid, but there were only four of them (three were posted here, then deleted), and there are tons and tons more linked on the "Rent set images" thread.
Also, CB has another set of interesting pictures now in the movie forum. They're a bit blurry but give a great feeling for the atmosphere of the set.

are there any more filming dates in new york?
All next week is in New York.
has anyone seen my rosario on set?
Yes, and she seems incredible. She has TONS of presence and spirit, and definitely appears to get along with everyone very, very well. I didn't get to see all that much of her acting, but she's going to be great - you can just tell from watching her. She's absolutely beautiful. She doesn't have as crazy curls as I would've hoped, but her hair *is* curly, and she's just gorgeous.
thank you for that report luvtheemcee...i am so psyched that she's going to be in this. aside from daphne she is perfect for this role. she was raised in lower manhattan, is of afro-cuban/puerto rican descent. her family were actually squatters who took over part of an abandoned east village tenement because her parents refused to raise the kids in the projects.

For a while I was really bummed that it wasn't Daphne, but I have a lot of faith in Rosario. I wish I'd gotten to see her sing, but it was alright. She was full of energy and absolutely bouncing around the set. I'm really pumped to see her do this. She and Adam are getting along well, so that makes me UBER-happy.
i cannot wait to hear the soundtrack versions to these songs. does anyone here know who is in charge of the music for the film as far as orchestrations, scoring and production are concerned?
i hope adam and rosario do a *killer* "without you", which is one of my all time favorite songs from the score.
I thought Tim Weill was working on it again?
i dunno that's why i was asking....maybe he is?
