Just found this as I was updating national tour bios...Delaney Moro will be playing Jane Banks.
DELANEY MORO (Kate/US Annie) is thrilled to join the Annie tour. She is currently starring in the Off-Broadway American Girls Revue (Kit/Kirsten/Molly). Credits include Cinderella (stepsister) and Les Miserables (young Eponine). She will be starring as Jane Banks in the Broadway production of Mary Poppins this fall. Delaney thanks her Mom, Dad, sister Regan, Heather, all the AG family, Amelia DeMayo, Nancy Carson and Martin Charnin for this wonderful opportunity.

My friend tried out for Michale and ALMOST got the part!!! He was in the top 5 and they picked 3 out of the 5. He didn`t get it.

Tiffany Haas (Wicked) is understudying Mary Poppins (or is considering it)
Casting those kids was apparently an absolutely miserable process. Glad they've at least got one down, though surely they're already thinking of replacements.
I can't believe a Parent would print something like that in a child's resume before a contract is signed.

Tiffany would be Perfect for Mary!!! She's wonderful as a swing in Wicked but she NEEDS to be seen! She is a phenomenal talent:)
..... do we know for sure that the contract *hasn't* been signed? The casting process for the children has been going on for over a year, so it very well could be set in stone already.
CurtainPullDowner --- Chances are right now her contract has been signed, though she cannot put anything on her resume until opening night. That was only her bio ...

Was there not enough talent in the talent pool?
I remember when I was in NYC during Spring Break ... I picked up Backstage and saw they were casting the kids. The description of this kids fit me ... only one problem ... I'm 20 years old
Have they announced yet who's going to play Mr. Banks? That's an awfully tricky role. David Haig was brill in London.
TT

I would quess that the Annie producers don't mind at all.
Jane and Michael Banks:
Katherine Doherty
Delaney Moro
Henry Hodges
Alex Scheitinger
When will people realize that Henry Hodges can't act? The kid is cute, and he has a nice singing voice, but I'm sorry, he's a terrible actor. I figured he'd get cast in this because he's Broadway's golden child, but really, they could find better. And I know, I know, he's just a kid, but for all the experience he has that makes him so great, he should be far better than he is.
you should be ashamed of yourselves!
Did you have three BWay credits at 12?
Casting agents and directors know better than you and We are talking about a child!
Please edit your posts before you hurt someone so young and obviously talented to get the parts he has gotten.

Oh please. If the Henry is a bad actor, he's a bad actor.
I think he is the best child actor I've seen on stage in a while. I saw Beauty & the Beast a few weeks ago and whoever played chip was scared being in front of an audience. I saw Lion King last year those kids were soo bad at acting and singing I would think they wouldn't be able to get a lead in a school play.

I really don't get the arguement about not saying anything bad about child actors. If they are bad, they are bad. Age of the actor and experience of the reviewer have no bearing.
Henry has a certain amount of polish and natural stage charisma that is rare in a lot of young performers (particularly boys, I think.) He is miles and miles ahead of the kids that I have seen in Beauty and The Beast and The Lion King recently. I couldn’t understand a single word that came out of the young boy I saw as Chip’s mouth. I know that they are children, but they are also on Broadway for God’s sake; I think the ability to speak clearly is a necessity.
I’m not saying that Henry is a “wonderful” actor by any means, but I can see why he works as much as he does.
CurtainPullDowner- Young people sign up for the same level of criticism as anyone else when they choose to audition on a professional level. No, I didn't have 3 Broadway credits by the age of twelve. But I did work as a child, and I am actually very grateful that I learned at a young age that people are not always kind.
If Henry is as bad as many of you say, it's difficult for me to believe he got past Jim Carnahan and Tara Rubin with very little acting skills.

Who cares? They're a paying audience.
I don't have to have a comparable resume to my dentist to have the right to complain about him.

No, it hasn't been announced, but Dan Jenkins (Big River) will be playing Mr. Banks.

1. Children actors/actresses are told not to steal the stage (aka they don't have to act well) however Henry's talent shines through that want. He could be a leading boy on broadway and when he gets older he probably will be.
2. He probably has more fans and broadway credits than you will have between the ages of 10-20
3. (about Delaney) I don't belive that this is her mother posting this, and I also think that Delaney is old enough (12) to write her own bio

I thought Henry Hodges was great in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
