Someone Slap Me

Please! Give me a hard whack across the head! My Michael Ball Obsession is threatening to make a return. YIKES! I remember being eighteen and sitting there watching that stupid Andrew Lloyd Webber Premier Collection video and just swooning each time the man smiled. It was pathetic! Something got me thinking about it and now I'm searching the internet far and wide for the damned video because the one I had broke. So a slap in the head or a good firm shaking is in order. I am a GROWN woman. I really don't need to be recalling teen aged fantasies...yeesh!

*smack*

And if that doesn't work, listen to his horrible forced vibrato in "Hushabye Mountain" on the London cast recording of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang... and you'll wonder why you ever thought he was worth your attention in the first place!

It's ok, amneris4ever, you can like whomever you please. I really enjoyed Michael in his earlier days of Les Mis and Aspects, but less so recently. But I can understand the attraction. Pay no attention to the Ball-Bashers (ouch). Find the video! Watch it again and again! Enjoy yourself and don't let anyone take it away from you.

And if you still want to be slapped, well, I might know someone who's into that sort of thing.

I still love Michael Ball, so you can add me to the fan club! That man has an amazing voice.....and he's one of the few male vocalists that still inspire me today!

Man, did I ever find a disturbing website. And you thought people here could be rough? This is NOT for the faint of heart...

What a ridiculous site. Nothing more than a haven for flamers. I'm sure they're all teens who are thrilled to be saying horrible things and use curse words because they're not allowed to do so in school. Their incredibly violent hatred for Michael Ball simply makes no sense. He's a singer, not a dictatorial tyrant responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocents. It's just a site where people try to out-shock each other. And if they're serious, then they're just making themselves look even more psycho and ridiculous by aiming their rage at someone who, in the grand scheme of things, is really incosequential and not a worthwhile target for outrageous opposition.

Hey MisterMatt...

I figured as much. It was just rather jaw dropping to read that some people have so much hatred and anger pent up inside of them. Sad isn't it?

Teenage fantasies can be fabulous.

I just watched the original South Pacific with that divine boyish John Kerr in his white trunks playing at Happy Talk.

I have treasured those thoughts for decades. Since Eisenhower was president!

Happy indeed.

Go fantasies!

This thread made me feel very good--If liking Michael Ball makes one a teen then they need to bottle that man because he is one of my all time favorites.

And presto! I'm a kid again! Does that mean I don't have to go back to work on Monday?

I forgot about the dream I had with him in it! I don't remember it completely, but I do remember something about running around in swimsuits, swimming, him votig for me as Miss Universe, him giving his phone number and a hug. I melt!

amneris... no need to slap you. Why not let your Michael Ball obsession return? With any luck, the man will be in the U.S. for a few concerts in the near future, and you can really let your obsession take hold!

Have you tried checking e-bay for the tape you want?

With regards to that message board you found -- how very pathetic. My take on people who talk like that is that they are usually jealous of the people they are maligning, and it makes them feel better about themselves when they put down the people they dislike.

Yeah, I own it.

The vogueing was just sick.

LOL...you're right, Musetta the vogueing was awful!

But see Amneris...you're not alone. Lots of us are crazy about the guy! He's in for quite a welcome in SLC I think!

I am sure he will be well received in SLC or wherever he decides to do a concert. His live performances are known to be fantastic. As for the vibrato in CCBB I loved it
