Something to sing

I'm having a talent show at my school in April and I need some ideas. I was thinking something from Broadway. I know songs from "Wicked", "Aida", "Les Miz", "Jekyll and Hyde", and "Gypsy" but I don't know what to sing. Any ideas? I'm a mezzo-soprano belter.

Aida- I know the truth, Easy as Life, Strongest Suit, more if you have a group. Probably I know the truth is best for your range.

Jekyll and Hyde- In his eyes, someone like you

Gypsy- there's that song... can't think of it. Not everything's coming up roses but maybe that one's good too.

Les Miz- the obvious (on my own)

And wicked... well there's a lot.

Hope this helps but you prob. knew all those already. Do you want songs from shows you don't know too?

is it really necessary to have this thread on both boards?

I would choose whichever song you sing the best and will enjoy doing. The main thing is to have fun. Usually at Talent shows people would rather hear something that is upbeat and can get them clapping and involved. I would not recommend doing a sad ballad.
