Sondheim Festival

So yeah, I was gonna go today, but decided to go back home (since my legs are in pain from yesterday's day in Chicago, and I missed the rehearsal for the sondheim thing, sadly), and what do you know? My friend calls me from Millennium Park, about 3 feet from Stephen Sondheim himself!!

WHo else went today, and met the man himself? I'm going tomorrow hopefully no later than 3. Hopefully he'll come out to see how amazing he is tomorrow too :)

and all that I could do because of you was talk of love...

It was fabulous! The music was absolutely gorgeous. I left before the end and missed Steven but what I saw was great. Make sure you are there for the 7:30 performance tomorrow. Also, some Wicked and Spelling Bee cast members will be there throughout the day too!

I went yesterday, and unfortunately Stephen didn't appear. The show was absolutely gorgeous, and we got great seats. I absolutely loved the overture. The orchestrations for that were brilliant. The whole show was brilliant. I got to meet Brian D'Arcy James, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, and Danny Gurwin after the show at the stagedoor. They were so gracious and nice!

-Was that a fart?
-My fault, I fear.

Wasn't that show AMAZING!?!?!

it was breathtaking..the whole thing

I didn't record any of that (since they said no cameras/video etc) but I did record a few of the things around the park...

my favorite park performance that i saw --Heidi Kettenring's "Sunday in the Park with George"....absolutely fabulous...

I'll be adding some videos on YouTube throughout the month (my computer is slow, it may take me that long)....so keep an eye out. My name on that is bwaygirl86 :)

it was an amazing weekend and I loved every minute! I got to meet the Wicked people and Brian D'Arcy James for like 2 seconds and some other really cool people. They should do stuff like that more often because it was so much fun

RIP Natasha Richardson. ~You were a light on this earth ~
