So, I'm trying to finish my Sondheim DVD collection, and I'm wondering if there's anything I'm missing.

Company (Revival)
Company (Original Cast Album)
Follies In Concert
Gypsy
Into The Woods
A Little Night Music (Elizabeth Taylor movie)
Passion
Sunday In The Park With George
Sweeney Todd (Angela Lansbury version)
Sweeney Todd (Patti Lupone concert)
Sweeney Todd (Johnny Depp movie)
West Side Story

I also have a few "unofficial" releases of certain shows that were filmed but never sold. What Sondheim or Sondheim-related DVDs am I missing?

Do you have both versions of Gypsy?

No, only the Rosalind Russell version.

I actually really like the Bette Midler version, but then again a lot of people don't.

EVENING PRIMROSE, though apparently it's not released until October 26. I thought it had actually come out a while ago.

I like the Bette Midler version, but not more than the original.

I had actually ordered the Sondheim: A Celebration and Putting It All Together, they just haven't arrived yet.

Sondheim-related DVDs I have are Barbara Cooks Sings Mostly Sondheim and Elaine Cook At Liberty. I can't seem to find the Bernadette Peters concert DVD reasonably priced.

Wondering, is there any difference between the Sondheim - A Celebration with the blue cover and everyone's name listed on front, and the one with Liza, Patti, Bernadette and Glenn on the cover?

I really liked the Bette Midler Gypsy. So much more than Rosalind Russell.

Also, I know it's less specific, but how about films that he wrote major numbers for like The Birdcage and Dick Tracy?

And how about the movie THE LAST OF SHIELA , which he co-wrote with Anthony Perkins? A devilishly clever thriller somewhat marred by a few weak performances.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Spidey - I do have The Birdcage, and Reds. Never, ever liked Dick Tracy. lol

frontrowcentre2- Thanks for The Last of Sheila. Just ordered it on Amazon, purely out of curiosity. But I'm looking for more of his theater work. Any other concerts/movie versions out there?
