per ATC, Sondheim on Sondheim will be recorded for a single CD June 6th-7th. Says it is unconfirmed but seems likely...
It looks like it will be just the songs & even some of those won't make the cut
Too bad it will not be preserved on video.

They ought to start with Wopat's woeful "Finishing the Hat."
You are being too kind just cutting that ONE woeful Wopat piece!

Yay! This makes me so happy. I've been dying to hear the Assassins sequence (no pun intended) and I would love hearing the Company sequence, along with all of the songs that were originally cut from their shows.
i loved the cut version of "Children will Listen" from Into The Woods. I hope they keep all the version of songs that are not really available anywhere else
I expect they would cut the really short excerpts, like "I'll Meet You at the Donut" from his early show "By George."
I agree...it was not even a full song in the show
It's not a cut version of "Children Will Listen", it's the version he wrote for Streisand for her Back to Broadway album.
All I really want on disc is Williams' "Good Thing Going" and "Ah, But Underneath", Lewis' "Being Alive", the Passion sequence, and Cook and Williams' Not a Day Goes By/Losing My Mind.

If you're referring to the "How do you say to a child in the night nothing's all black but then nothing's all white..." section of Children Will Listen, that was not written for Streisand. It was in the extended "Second Midnight" that was severely trimmed before the Broadway opening. I'm not sure if it was there during previews, but I'm fairly certain it was there for the Old Globe run.
All that music in the show and we're only getting a single CD? Boo!
I wonder if Tom will remember all of the words during the recording. I keed! I keed! No, seriously, I wonder!
I'm so excited for this!!!!!!
I hope his standby is in the day of the recording.
