Yes, but it isn't anything like some of the others.

I have a fond attachment to Merrily We Roll Along, but then again I haven't bought ALNM, SITPWG, yet. I also like the stuff that didn't make the cut, I think Marry Me a Little, is good too, but I don't see how it all got put togeather.

Everything Was Possible is wonderful -- it really makes you appreciate Follies and the how special it is that we have the OBC cast album. A great, great show.

First, I have to say, Sondheim is just one of the finest composers out there if not the finest. Just the sheer number of amazing shows he has written or collaborated on is incredible despite the majority of hte shows lacking much commercial success.
Anyway...favorite shows...
1. Sweeney
2. Company (I just closed a production of this, SO much fun!!!)
3. A Little Night Music
4. Assassins
4. Into the Woods
5. Sunday
So many to choose from...There are so many fabulous Sondheim songs that were never in shows too...
Company
Sunday In The Park. . .
Follies
Sweeney Todd
Into The Woods
his lyrics to "Gypsy" and "West Side Story"
Actually, the previous thread asked what was Sondheim's finest SHOW, not score (though one usually implies the other).
For me, either way it's SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE.

"Follies" was the only Sondheim show I actually liked, so I'll say "Follies".
I just recieved the Sondheim DVD Collection for Christmas and so far have only watched SITPWG. Bernadette Peters is amazing in that. I've still got "We Do Not Belong Together" ringing in my ears.

I have to say this:
"Company."
No script, no score, no lyrics have ever moved me so much. There's so much need in Bobby that is unexpressed, there's an incredible eleven o'clock number and man would be blessed to sing and some of the greatest and most memorable tunes the man has written.
I have performed in more than a few shows written by the man. But two have remained as my most beloved. Sweeny Todd & Merilly We Roll Along.
