A more interesting question may be the reverse. What songs either DON'T fit the character or do nothing specific towards identity.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

The Yellow Shoe song in The Visit.
And the Polio Song in Cry Baby. I found this song perticularly tasteless. I lost many childhood friends to polio growing up.

I've always thought that the triad of Elphaba's big numbers—"The Wizard and I," "Defying Gravity," and "No Good Deed"—so perfectly represented her ambition, conviction, and downfall.
