According to the 5th Avenue site, Barnes and Noble stores in Seattle are giving out download cards with codes for two songs from the show, "I Could Get Used to This" by Chester Gregory and "I Know It's Today" by Sutton Foster. Has anyone been able to get these songs?

I just downloaded them here http://www.5thavenue.org/show/shrekthemusical0809/Default.aspx
i don't know how i feel about them... they are fine but not laugh out loud funny.... i am keeping faith though.... Brian sounds perfect... and I haven't been a fan of his since the Wild Party
Thanks for the link parislover, and thanks for the code bwayfan. I just downloaded them. I like I Could Get Used To This. I Know It's Today...not so much. But I only listened to it once. It may grow on me.

I think this merits its own thread. I don't feel like digging through broad-topic threads just to see if random news is scattered somewhere in its pages.

I listened to "I Know It's Today," and I liked it overall; I thought it was a good combination of sweet and funny(that is how I would describe it).

Pretty bland, although the voices are pretty spot on. Overall, I agree with Sondheim - not impressed!

Ok, I listend to all four songs currently out there, so here are my little mini reviews:
Big Bright Beautiful World: Wow, an amazing number, preumably the opening? Not sure, but still great, though i'm not entirely sure what to think of Brian's rock solo at the end.
I Could Get Used to This: Arguably the weakest of the four, it's still a very well written number. I enjoyed it.
Build Me a Wall: A very good and moving ballad, something which I wasn't sure Shrek would have. Great song.
I Know it's Today: A very good song, in my opinion. I'm not sure who spoke the first few lines, but the delivery was excellent! Great melody, and well sung by Sutton Foster.
Ok, I know this is only four songs, but if everynumber is like this, this could really be the hit of the season!

I am so proud of Leah Greenhaus :) Young Fiona. She is the sweetest , most talented 12 year old.
I thought they were all pretty good, but I can't wait until they get studio recordings, and I can hear the rest of the songs.

Well, no DUH it'll make money during the holiday season, it's freaking SHREK. Whether or not it's actually good will matter on whether it's a Wicked or a Tarzan...
It is sounding really good to me! I really like all four songs. BDJ is gonna be one awesome Shrek, I can hear it. And I LOVE me some Sutton Foster!
