"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."

I just looked it up online, it is actually called "Distant Melody". It is definitely in the Mary Martin movie version...not sure about any other versions.

WHOA THERE!! WRONG-O!!

The song is called "Distant Melody" and was written to replace the song "When I Went Home" because When I Went Home was considered too depressing (imagine that! Distant Melody is already depressing!).

Peter DOES sing the lullaby. Wendy asks Peter to sing a lullaby to his children, and Peter remembers this song, "Distant Meldoy" that the audience knows his mother sang to him before he ran away to Neverland. This song, in turn, makes the Darling children homesick, and they tell Peter they want to go back home to London.

And that is today's PETER PAN lesson.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

And that is also one of the prettiest songs ever written, Hook.

Yuppers.

I'm gonna use it for auditions this year in honor of the 100th anniversary of the play and 50th anniversary of the musical.

I'm doing Distant Melody in my cabaret act in November...
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I love "What do you do with a BA in English" I wish it was more than a few lines. Also the whole Taboo needs to be longer. Every character should have at least one more song. re: Songs that are short and sweet - but you want MORE!

Yes! I agree with "The Games I Play". It's my favorite from MARCH OF THE FALSETTOS. Also, I could stand for "Holding to the Ground" to have a few more verses.

This isn't really short, but it is sweet. "Somewhere That's Green" when Kerry Butler sang it on the CD. I wish I could hear a clip of Jessica Snow-Wilson's interpretation of that song.
