The reprise of 'Where's the Girl' from The Scarlet Pimpernel. I always have to listen to it twice. Terry Mann is a theater god.
'Farewell, Good Angel' from Jane Eyre. James Barbour may not be a theater god yet, but he definitely is a personal god of mine

"Who cares
If the sun
Cares to fall
In the sea?
Who cares about a bank
That fails in Yonkers,
As long as you've got a kiss
That conquers?
Why should I care?
Life is one long jubilee,
As long as I care for you,
And you care for me!"
[or something like that]
Sixteen bars and so nice, it is often sung twice.
by the Gershwins I think

This is basically a list of my favorite showtunes lol, all of which I'd like much longer!
"Run Freedom Run" from Urinetown
"Fortune Favors the Brave" from Aida
"We Can Do It" and "Haben Sie Gehort..." from The Producers
"One Song Glory" from Rent
"Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler
"Fugue for Tinhorns" from Guys and Dolls (lol, there's a story for me behind this one. I had this song only to do a costume change in HS, and I was never on stage on time lol)
I could think of more, but I'll stop there

Posted: 8/12/04 at 2:22pmThe lullaby Peter sings to Wendy & The Lost Boys is one of my favorites. Capnhook will know the name of the song, it's slipping my mind right now. But I could listen to Mary Martin sing it for hours.

Posted: 8/12/04 at 2:29pmIsn't "Tender Shepard" sung by Mrs. Darling to the three kids, and then later by Wendy to John and Michael?

Posted: 8/12/04 at 2:31pm"Once Upon A Time and Long Ago" is a beautiful song. I can't ever really seem to stomach "Tender Shepard"....

Posted: 8/12/04 at 2:31pmI think Matt G has it wrong. Peter doesnt sing a lullaby to the Lost Boys (or at least not to my knowledge). If I am wrong, sorry fellow Broadway World post-ers!

Posted: 8/12/04 at 2:33pmMatt G is correct. Peter sings the lullaby towards the end, right before Wendy and the Lost boys leave, I think. I know it's in there somewhere.
