I know all about Talkin' Broadway listings, but I was just wondering about the rushes in general. I am interested in seeing a show, but I am not getting into the city till around noon. I just wanted to know my best chances of getting student rush/general rush on a saturday for the matinee. It's my friend's first broadway show, if we can get tickets.
I was looking at A Chorus Line, Legally Blonde, Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, Phantom, South Pacific, Spamalot, Wicked, Young Frankenstein... if that helps?
Thanks

check playbill.com's rush page, it's actually farily updated and accurate.
and for the hell of it
ACL has rush and SRO
Legally Blonde has a student rush
Little Mermaid has a rush
Mary Poppins, i don't think, has a rush.
Phantom, no clue
South Pacific has a student rush when available (mostly cancellations sold at SR prices)
Spamalot has SRO
Wicked has a Lottery Rush
Young Frankenstein has a Lottery rush
really though, you should forget all of those shows (except South Pacific) and see August: Osage County, Gypsy, and South Pacific

I believe Mermaid's student rush is only on Tue/Wed/Thurs, but Mermaid also has standing room (there's a min height that you have to be, sold when the show is sold out.)
Getting Blonde rush tix at noon on a Saturday is pretty hit or miss- I've gotten tix as late as 1:30/1:45 for a 2pm weekend matinee, so it's not impossible, just depends.
eta: also, getting into the city at noon would be too late for the Wicked and YF matinee lottos, which (I believe, but confirm with their websites) draw names at noon for 2pm matinee shows; you would have to be at one of the theatres before the noon drawing in order to put your name in. And plus, both shows draw at the same time (noon) for a 2pm Sat matinee, so you could only be entered in one lotto to begin with.

From what you listed I feel like you might have the best chance at A Chorus Line... I have heard that the rush isn't that bad. I'm pretty sure Mary Poppins and Spamalot only have standing room.
Hope things work out!
