WICKED ANNOUNCES LOTTERY FOR $25 BEST-AVAILABLE SEATS IN WASHINGTON, DC
A day-of-performance lottery for $25 best available seats will be held daily for WICKED, performing from Dec. 21, 2005 - January 15, 2006 at the Kennedy Center. Each day, 2½ hours prior to show time people who present themselves at the Kennedy Center box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum and then thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for 20-26 best-available seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person.

HOOOORAYYYY!!!!! Now I MIGHT have a chance of seeing it!

What is your dream role? My dream role would be to be myself. To be performing at the Hollywood Bowl and to have an audience there just to see me, as Stephanie. They are there because they like what I do as a singer, an artist and a person (the last being the most important). I'm not sure where you got this information, but I checked with the Kennedy Center and there will not be a lottery for WICKED tickets.

I'm not necessarily disbelieving this, but what's the source? I have a friend who really wants to see Wicked in DC, and I'd love to be able to give her info but there's nothing about it on the Kennedy Center website. It seems way odd that they'd be selling 20+ seats per performance for a show that's supposedly been sold out for months...

Has it been announced who the new cast members are going to be? They'd start in DC, I assume, since I believe Derrick starts in NYC in early January.

So I checked with the girl who runs that site and she apologized ... she just assumed there would be but confirmed with me that she didn't have factual knowledge of a lotto before posting that. She's going to take it down when she has time but I'm thinking most people who were wondering about it already had their answer.
