South Pacific - loge or extreme lt right orch?
#1South Pacific - loge or extreme lt right orch?
Posted: 4/21/08 at 11:07pmWhy no Orch center seats for as far out as July? I checked about 2 weeks ago when we returned from NYC and they were available then, now only extreme left or right for Orch and lower loge seats. What is the best choice for $120+

Loge aren't too bad. I sat in the last row of the loge (which is only the 5th row) in the center and it was just fine, the seating's a little tight, but okay.
It depends on where the seats are in the loge I guess. I'd personally want to be as much center as possible, no matter how far back or up.

I sat up close but extreme left & thought it was great. The retractable stage rolls out so it's not like being on the side at all. The action happens right in front of you

Thank you all for your assistance and guidance - I bought my tickets today for July 16th - aisle seats, Loge B Center. I think they will be good, more elbow room if it is cramped in tight. I can't believe I get to see this show and return again to NYC in a couple of months - yeah!!
Does the loge overhang orch or is it just straight back similar to the Kennedy Center in DC?

Thanks so much - I can hardly wait!!
My son was concertmaster for his high school pit orchestra for this musical 3 yrs ago, I thought that was excellent with his strings on the overture, but this will be amazing.

The Vivian is a great theater and your view is fine no matter where you sit. Obviously, there are slight areas where your view might be skewed but you should be fine for SP. Have fun watching the show!
I personally like sitting closer to the stage but whatever you prefer.

That's EXACTLY where I sat. BEAUTIFUL seat. The loge practically has "stadium" seating so no concerns about folks in front of you.
Ths is staged so lovingly, I would find it hard to believe there are too many BAD seats at the VB.
Enjoy. A beautiful night of theatre.
