...so I'm going to see the Matinee on the 29th...and I have to say...I'm a little worried right now!
Someone please tell me that since they're still in previews, I'll be seeing Tim Curry, Hank Azaria, and David Hyde Pierce and not their standby's...
I'm really worried that I won't see them!

I'm heading to Chicago soon, and I'm desperately trying to get Spamalot tickets for the matinee on the 29th...it seems like the whole run is sold out. Does anyone know if they have any rush/cancellation line...etc? Any suggestions? All Shook Up seems to have plenty of seats available, on the other hand...
I don't think Spamalot is really 100% sold out...yet. On Tuesday (opening night) I went the the box office to ask if they had any tickets for that day (tuesday). There were a few seats in the orchestra left. And this was the day of the performance. So I kinda of doubt it that the whole run is sold out. Good Luck though. All Shook Up is not the worst second choice.
Well, to respond to the actual question...
why would you think they wouldn't be there? I would assume they'd be in unless they're sick. Previews aren't a time for performers to take off and NOT do matinee's...
If you go online it says that all the shows are sold out but I would suggest going to the theater when you get to Chicago. Last time I went, which wasn't too long ago, they had a single seats available for a bunch of shows. They were limited view seats but the Shuburt Theater is so crappy anyway, they are just like every other seat.
And I agree with munkustrap, the show is in previews. There is no reason for them not to perform unless they are sick.
I have some out of town company and two were able to get tickets in the orchestra two hours before the mat on thursday and the other got a ticket for the Thursday PM performance on Wed. All principals were in. So you may have to pay top dollar, but it's not impossible. By the way all three said the show is fantastic! Not a bad thing to say about it.
