Has anyone ever refused to go up or given the actors a difficult time? What do they do in that situation?

It varies, because EVERYONE found out about A101, so, they added 2 or 3 other ones I believe.
It was originally A101 though...
It was C101 when I went.
It was D101 Friday. I was like damn, wished it was me :)
But the man was so embarrassed I felt so sorry for him
Well wherever the seat was, has anyone given a difficult time?
It was B101 when I went last April. My seat. I briefly thought about bolting out of the theatre, but then figured I'd never get a chance like that again.
I haven't heard any stories about anyone refusing to go up.

When me, my parents, and my campfriends went, it was D101. Thank God my dad was not sitting over there because I would've been scared out of my mind. I get scared when my dad is asked to do something in front of a live audience. Weird.
oh sh*t... someone fill me in on what we're talking about here. It's coming to DC in June, and I've got A103...
Doesn't sound like an end seat, so you have nothing to worry about!

lol at the end of the show, they make the person who's sitting in A101 (or whatever seat it is) come up on stage (I can't tlel you why, it would ruin the show ) and they like sing about them, so yeah, don't be scared!

Here's what I've always wondered:
bdwygirl, did you know about umm, you know what or was it a surprise when they told you?
I knew from reading All That Chat. When I got my ticket, I purposely bought one to AVOID that seat, then when word started getting out what happens, the production started using a few other seats. I started getting nervous about it, but really didn't expect my seat to be IT. Stuff like that never happens to me. HA! Yeah, right! My Broadway debut!

why on earth wouldn't you want to be on stage? I'd give my left arm to be on a broadway stage during a show! Man...I wish I had some of your luck.

Some people have horrible stage fright, myself included. I personally would hate to be pulled up like that.
I'm one that does not like any kind of attention centered on me. After the fact, I was thrilled that I actually did go up, and managed not to fall flat on my face or do anything else to embarrass myself. Got a couple nice mementos from it. In a little over a week, it'll be exactly one year.

B101 when I saw it. It was my mom's seat. She loves attention- so she got up there and totally played with everyone onstage. I was a bit mortified- haha (my family was all spread out among the audience- in order to get decent seats- the lady sitting next to me couldn't figure out why I was hiding my face in my hands...)
When I saw it, it was seat A101 and the occupant was this elderly man named Jerome Rosenthal (You Won't Succeed On Broadway....) At first he didn't seem like he wanted to get up, but he did, and it took him a long time to get onstage and then back down, it was really hilarious. I don't think he was looking in the right place at the right time either. It really made the already show even funnier.
Oh- haha- the day after we saw Spamalot- we were walking around the city and someone stopped my mom and was all "are you ____?"- they had seen the show the day before and recognized her. It was a bit odd- but funny nonethless

Best One...
"What's your name?"
"Steve Aaronberg."
The crowd and everyone on stage just about died.
That was like my "Jerome Rosenthal." Michael Siberry's reaction was priceless.
