Doesn't mean much until I see lyrics and hear music...
If you see MP & The Holy Grail, you can hear "Knights Of The Round Table"
If you see MP Life of Brian you can hear "Look On The Bright Side of Life"
Brian has a character with a great name - Roman Biggus Dickus
I love Monty Python, I can't wait to see this.

Yeah, I've seen them..I was referring to the other songs..
Did they combine both movies (sort of) into this show...?
Do not think they combined movies
Playbill starts with name of musical "Dil Od Triaanenen Fol " & starts with a bogus Playbill

"Brave Sir Arthur"? Are you sure it isn't "Brave Sir Robin"? :)
No new songs compared to the Chicago run. I like the fake Playbill idea, though.
BSoBW, the only thing from Life of Brian is the song.
Probably same melody with different words

Aw man, I was hoping it would be a typo. I'm surprised they changed it, and I wonder if they changed the words to make them more Arthur-ish.

The "Fisch Schlapping Song" actualy combines the "Fish Slapping Dance" routine from the TV show with the song "Finland, Finland, Finland" from one of the record albums.
I'm sure it's a typo - The Minstrel definitely sings "Brave Sir Robin" - at least he did in Chicago.

So Sara lost both "The Cow Song" and "Burn Her?" I'm guessing that puts her in the supporting category for sure at the Tonys which might turn out to be a very good place for her to be....

XD That's GREAT.
And now I'm really dying to see this. *sigh* CURSE YOU, SMALL MONETARY AMOUNT!
It upsets me that they cut the two songs in which Sara shows her ability to change vocal styles.
Granted, they did nothing for the plot when I saw it in Chicago, but damn, let this girl shine.
Plus it weakens the effect of "The Diva's Lament" in the Second Act by lessening her role in the first.

I saw the show in Chicago and I have to say I agree with the decision to cut the Cow Song. The song itself was quite funny, but the flow of the scene was totally wrong. By the time they threw the cow, it wasn't funny. It's a shame that these were Sara's songs because she is so much fun to watch and listen to, but I think they made the right decision. FWIW, I am a huge fan of Monty Python, especially "The Holy Grail", and I love musicals. I had very high expectations for this show and I was a bit disappointed. Parts of it were hilarious but I thought it was uneven overall. Updated On: 2/19/05 at 06:18 PM

Yeah The Cow Song was problematic. It was funny and she performed it well, but it just...didn't..work. I couldn't think of a way to make it fit myself. You need to not break the rythm of the Taunting and the cow tossing...It almost seemed to me that if you were going to fit a song from the cow in it would have to be in counterpoint to "Run Away"-- something for the cow & the French to sing taunting the cowardly Ka-nig-its.
Maybe the cut songs will be on the CD
"The Song That Goes Like This" is what I'm really looking forward to, sounds hilarious.
Is the feadly bunny or the giant wooden rabbit in the show? Or the Frenchman? If they left the Frenchman out then I'm gonna be mad!

They're all there :) Azaria plays the French taunter and is hilarious.
The show's great! Especially if you like Monty Python. I saw it in Chicago and I am disappointed that they cut the cow and the witch songs! (especially the witch song) I hope they will be on the CD. I agree that it lessens the effect of "The Diva's Lament" in Act II. And Sara is just so talented!!! I certainly hope she gets a Tony for this role. By the way, does anyone know if they did anything to replace the "Broadway- in Chicago" joke?

I'm more upset about the Witch Song too - I understand why the cut the cow song because it slowed everything down so much, but I liked the Witch Song, and its purpose was to introduce Bedevere. I have no idea if they did something differently for him, or just left it out altogether. I really hope they're on the CD...
They probably just dropped the "in Chicago" part and left it as just "Broadway".
I can also understand cutting the Cow Song (though it was funny, it kinda slowed down the plot). But the Witch Song was awesome. Maybe they will put it back in! It's possible... the show is still in previews...
I figured they didn't do anything with the "Broadway" line... but the "Broadway- in Chicago" part was funny.
i saw M P's SPAMALOT this past sat night. loved it very hilarious. i went with my friend and his family. his wife and daughter [15 years old] really enjoyed it and were not at all familiar with the film or Monty Python, so it does have appeal to non pyhon fans. in fact, his daughter is very hard to please, and she was laughing out load and after the show very talkative about her enjoyment of it.
