Since Spelling Bee hasnt officially opened yet, these two shows seem to be the front runners for Best Musical. Which one's better and why? And if youve seen both, how many stars would you give them?
I love both of them equally for their own great attributes. And, I know there's a lot of support out there for DRS. If it wins, I'll be really happy for it. But, I'm leaning towards SPAMALOT taking the Tony.
I prefered Spamalot to DRS because I love the silly Monty Python humour and thought it (including the performers) was a lot funnier.
I really enjoyed DRS as well and believe Norbert will win the Tony for his performance but I don't think DRS has a chance to win Best Musical (not with Spelling Bee and Spamalot as competition). DRS is a great show but I believe it's not 'unique' enough to win the Tony.

Although I enjoyed both equally, I would have to go in favor of SPAM because everything is just completely silly and there really isn't anything serious about it. All the songs(even the ones that sound serious) are silly.Plus it's the only show with the Fisch Schlapping Song.
