I came across this fabulous concert featuring Jerry Orbach, Jerry Herman, Pearl Bailey, Larry Kurt, Judy Kuhn and Pamela Myers all accompanied by the great Marvin Hamlisch.

oh, barf.

those would be the same Reagans who looked the other way while the broadway they're "saluting" was decimated by AIDS.

nice video of the other talent, but let's not allow the time and distance to whitewash what vile hypocrites Ron & Nancy were.

The Reagans Don't Care That You're Dying: A Salute to the American Musical.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

Clearly you misjudged your audience.

The Reagans did nothing to endear themselves to those you consider fabulous and glamorous.

AllThatJazz, it's lovely to see the concert even if the Reagans were despicable. Thx for posting (and please change the title of the post).

all that jazz also become a huge fan of Liberace because of how he was portrayed in that HBO movie, so perhaps we shouldn't be so hard on someone who clearly doesn't think very critically.

Liberace is an admirable role model, Phyllis. Those capes! Those collars! That predatory, self-loathing, controlling nature!

Just to be clear, I'm in no way a supporter of Reagan, I originally titled the thread "The Reagans salute broadway" because that's what they seem to be doing in the video. I didn't posted the concert because of them, I posted it because of all of the amazing broadway legends featured.

I think it's quite obvious what your intention was when you posted this, all that jazz, and you don't need to apologize. It must be a slow, boring Saturday afternoon for some people. And thanks, I haden't seen this before.
