well, i saw it this afternoon and of course, it was amazing. luckily, everyone was there. the moment i walk in to the theatre, i felt a thrill of excitement. everyone sounded great. my personal favorite is celia, because every song she sings, it is just so wonderful, and especiall "The I Love You Song" was great. Celia was singing her heart out and i totally felt for her. Derrick was singing his ass off too. Lisa was great as always. Sarah made fun of George Bush's vacation and got a roaring round of applause.
After the show, i waited for the cast. they walk out so descretly. i literally chased after Celia and Jesse. celia is the sweetest thing i ever met and sooooooo nice. Jesse is a different story. although he was funny, definatley NOT the star and he acted like he was. derrick, jay, and sarah were all extremely nice and deborah is quite possibly the funniest person ever. she was talking about how the letters on the playbill change colors all the time(different shades of blue) and the evolution of her autograph.i love her. dan was no where to be found as was lisa or jose. i was upset but it's ok.
all in all, the show was amazing!

Posted: 8/24/05 at 10:50pmSome of the Spelling Bee cast take longer getting out and come through the real stage door on side of theatre. You just need to be patient and not expect all of them to exit through lobby.
