Ohhh... I didn't notice! That's a good question. The January cover has all six spellers, including Olive. The February Playbill I have looks like what I think is the original window card design with five spellers w/o Olive but with a blonde curly-haired girl in purple next to Barfee, among other differences. Liotte...?
I have two different ones. One is of the poster with the blonde curly haired girl, which is the more publicity type one. and the another is a close shot of the spellers who are actually in the show.
My playbill is the same as my windowcard. I'm confused.
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
The cover missing Olive's character was the original poster art done for Second Stage. If you study it, you see that they are interesting in that the artist 's concept for Logainne(blonde in purple) does not capture her. Also the representation for Chip's character's costume has Coneybear's cape and no boyscout uniform. Coneybear's character looks like he's a runaway from Saturday Night Fever in that green suit plus Leaf is wearing glasses as is Marcy. The more recent one corrected the outfits and more closely resembled the characters but they never did put Barfee in his grey shorts or magic foot shoes! Save them.
