Spelling Bee Poster

The other day on my walk home I passed by a poster for Spelling Bee. At first I thought it was the same one I always see that says "The funniest thing in seven consonants" on it with the little claymation characters on chairs, and then when I got closer I saw that it didn't have the claymation characters- it had pictures of the actors in the exact same positions as the other version inserted into the cartoon background. I had never seen it before and it was so cute! Have I just been living under a rock or are these new?

Do you have a picture? I've never heard of it before.

I know what you're talking about... I've seen it online before...

I'll hunt for it.

It's new, they just started putting those up. It's cute, but in a couple weeks Jesse will be gone so it will no longer be the correct cast.

re: Spelling Bee Poster

ohh! I saw that on Saturday! I was on 8th avenue and I got all excited because I noticed the poster seemed different from across the street so I ran right over and looked at it. I was contemplating pulling one off the wall, but decided against it because that would be illegal, and there would be less advertising for the show. And I do want everyone to see it. so yea. That's my story for today.

They've been using it in the newspaper ads here in SF.

That's a pretty awesome poster. I wonder if they will leave it up for a while or switch them when Barrett comes...

re: Spelling Bee Poster

Yeah! Thanks for the pic zerose- I would have taken one myself but am having problems with my digital camera. If anyone wants to see it in person, I saw it at 9th and 39th. It seems funny that they would start using posters with actors so late into the run. I mean it's not the original cast, and in a few weeks it won't even be the current cast. It almost seems like a waste, but I'm not going to complain because they're super cute and I'm pro just about anything related to Spelling Bee.

re: Spelling Bee Poster

Do you think this new sitcom will pan out for JTF?

I hope so. . .it's been fun watching the Broadway babes transfer over into television and films--and doing it successfully!

I mean, practically the entire cast of Grey's Anatomy has a background in the stage. . .

re: Spelling Bee Poster

I hope Jesse's sitcom does well - the producing team has done good work in the past, and it seems like a pretty original show..

re: Spelling Bee Poster

I hope his sitcom does well, so I can see him everyweek, but then again I hope it doesn't run to long because I want to see him back on Broadway. Alas, the world does not revolve around me.

Early buzz on the show does not seem to be good, but I do hope that its successful for him.
