Just wondering if anybody knew when the original cast of the Bee is leaving? I really would like to see it with them one last time and my friend and I are planning to go December 3rd. Hopefully, this is a good time! Also, does anyone know if and when any cast member is planning to take a vaction?
Oooh.. and what is the chance of being able to buy Standing room tickets for this show? I know that the spelling bee lotto is basically impossible.
Thanks in advance!

My guess Spelling Bee original cast will be relatively intact on Dec.3
Post Labor Day affects theater attendance in general. Tourists go home and kids return to school. Spelling Bee has also been affected by those sluggish ticket sales this time of year. Recently it hasn't totally sold out every night . The policy has been to sell standing room after all seats in house are sold.
I think attendance should pick up as of November so chances are you will be able to get standing room.
Many of the cast members are probably overdue for vacations as most rarely if ever have missed a performance . I don't know if they really announce it since it is considered an ensemble and no one's name is above the title.
I hope you have a wonderful return visit to The Bee.
How crowded do you think Halloween weekend will be?

I can't really gage. You might go on spellingbeethemusical.com and punch in those dates as Halloween weekend approaches and see what ticket availability is.
If they aren't sold out--you could try for lottery. Maybe theater will have more flexible policy with standing room tickets.
Good luck.

If you plan on doing lotto for Spelling Bee the day before Halloween, Sunday October 30, good luck because the Wicked Block Party is that day and I'm sure everyone will be doing Wicked and Spelling Bee Lotto
Celia told me there contracts dont expire to late April. She said she will be out October 22nd for a Wedding.

I suppose I can ask my question on here too-
I am thinking about going to Spelling Bee on Nov 25th at 8:00 show. I just checked and as of now, there is 1 single ticket available. That being the circumstances, can I assume that if I don't win the lotto that there is a very good chance that I could get SRO tickets?
How many SRO tickets are sold each performance?

If that day's performance is sold out, the policy is to offer standing room only for sold out performance which go on sale when box office opens Nov. 25th . If you want to be assured standing room tickets for Nov 25th stop by box office early in the day.
Remember they also have a matinee at 2 on Sat.

Sorry didn't address your # of Standing room seats. They mirror the back of seats in last row of Aisles 1 & 3 so if you look at seating chart for Circle in The Square you can count. Each standing area is enclosed by bars--I believe. It's like your own personal space.
There should be posters who can speak from their own experience.

Thanks Lunatic. I think, if I am not mistaken, they are having 2 performances on Friday the 25th also. If I go Friday, I would go for the evening performance- Saturday I would go to the matinee.
Thanks for your help!
