1. Listen to your director....really the only person to listen to since you HAVE been cast.
2. You'll get your music from your director as well. Think of him/her as god.

Posted: 3/6/10 at 11:46amThanks guys. I know I will get the music eventually but we don't start till this summer so I wanted to get a head start since we only rehearse for 8 days. I'm really excited its my first time at this theatre and they cast me in two paid roles for the summer!

Posted: 3/6/10 at 7:09pmThe only thing I can share to add is that Barfee has... well, not a character voice, but a physical defect which causes his nasal passage to be closed. So speak and sing without nasal resonance if you can. That's right in the script, though, not just a "character note."
