Posted: 7/28/08 at 4:30pmI think there is a non equity production of Spelling Bee going out at some point. I know that there is a small non equity theatre in the town that my college is in and it said that Spelling Bee was comming through there at some point. So either there is or ther is going to be a non equity tour of spelling Bee.

I auditioned for them during the first round, and it was a bit of a madhouse, but run very efficiently. It feels like they've been trying to cast these shows for a while, so I don't know what's going on, but it couldn't hurt to send your hs/res along.

The Chip on the home page looks like the understudy.

Posted: 7/29/08 at 3:41pmI remember there was an unofficial list that was eventually honored as the official list. The casting personnel came in and said they wanted everyone to sing 16 bars, but not to introduce themselves or their songs. On the day that I went, they were actually running ahead and called my number just as I got back into the room. After each group, they would make the callback decisions. The whole process was pretty quick.

Sorry to be late to the thread, but I'm planning on auditioning and had some questions....
1. I know every audition is different but for the last one, did they do callbacks the next day? (Spelling Bee)
2. Did they have you dance for Spelling Bee?
So nervous and excited at the same time.
