I did lottery last night with 7 friends, AND WE ALL GOT IN!!! It was such an amazing experience. There seemed to be about 60 or so people there? They give out 20 tickets. Most of them, yes, are on the ground level of Circle in the Square, so we were practically ON the stage. It was one of the best theater experiences I've ever had. The heart and music (pun intended) in this show are phenomenal. I cannot remember the last time I laughed harder in a theater (and I saw the show at Second Stage already!) William Finn is my favorite composer/ lyricist of all time, so I made sure to see Spelling Bee off- broadway during the first week of previews, before it hit big and became impossible to get a ticket. (Sure enough, this DID happen! ) Every bit of this show is perfect. They've done amazing things with the design, encompassing the whole theater. This is what Broadway should be. Every cast member is incredible. Dan Fogler <3 <3 <3 though. His performance should win him the supporting actor in a musical tony for sure. (One thing I couldn't remember- who was Jesse Tyler Ferguson originally supposed to play in Spamalot? I remembered that he was supposed to be in it- was he the Christian Borle role?) Anyway, Spelling Bee screams SUCCESS. It is f-ing incredible. After the show, Deborah Craig was signing some autographs and she looked at my friend who happens to be Asian and exclaimed "oh yeah! i knew i spotted a sister out there!" (we were sitting right up in front). She was TOO funny.
This cast and creative team and crew and show deserve all of the compliments in the world.

I am a huge William Finn fan and being in the U.K... am soooo desperatley eager to see anything i can of this...please if its online and anyone knows of it, please let me know!

woops-clearly didn't read your post clearly enough. The ground level there are the 300's right?
