I'm really wondering what word could possibly have a silent Q, or if that's just a ridiculous joke. What word is used in the show to dismiss the contestant before Prayer of the Comfort Counselor?

Bump.
While we're at it, what is your favorite word and definition used in the show? I thought the examples on the Tony's were priceless.

Actually, I think they honestly had to resort to a completely made-up word once to get rid of a ridiculously good speller and that's the inspiration for "missing the silent Q."

I believe that usually the full name for LSD is what is used to eliminate the audience member that then leads right into Prayer of the Comfort Counselor.
I have heard a couple people talk about how once in awhile someone gets that word right (ie: when the national spelling bee champion was in attendance and chosen as a participant) and I'm not sure what they do then...

Oh, goodness. We had one of tose guys too. They had to stop the show so that the audience could clap! They used the LSD word, and the guy spelling only missed an "a!" It was hilarious!
