I know this is old news for most on this board, but I've tried to search to find an old thread without luck. We are coming up to NYC next week and have already gotten tickets for a number of shows but would like to see Spider-Man (Don't worry....we have low expectations).

I know that it's consistently on TKTS, but I was wondering if anyone has done rush tickets and how the seats are compared to the TKTS booth. I don't want to pay a lot for the show, but I don't want to go with the rush option if I can't see the stage and all either.

Any thoughts?

Feel free to direct me to an old thread if it exists. Thanks!

I last tried Rush last summer, but had no problem getting 4 tickets to the evening show (showed up at the box office around noon). The seats were located in the boxes on the side of the mezz - an excellent view of the flying. They are noted as "partial view" but you're sitting in chairs right next to the railing - lean forward a little while he's zooming about and you see everything just fine. I highly recommend them.

I got 2 rush tickets for the Saturday evening show about a month and a half ago. I was at the box office before 9:00 AM, but there weren't many people behind me so it really wasn't necessary to be that early. I got pretty amazing seats - the front row of the first balcony ("Flying Circle"), left side but on the inner aisle. There was actually a platform directly in front of me that was used as both a launching and landing spot for Spider-Man during the show. The guy who was behind me in line seemed really shocked that I got those seats in the rush cause he says you very rarely get rush tickets in that spot...so it happened to me but I have no idea how likely it is to happen again.

I walk by the theater in the morning on a regular basis and see some extremely long lines waaay before the box office opens. To be on the safe side, I would plan on getting there pretty early.

Thanks for the information so far. It sounds like it's a pretty mixed bag...which I guess is part of the fun. Silly question, but you do know where the seats are prior to purchase right? I figure I could try rush...and if they aren't what I'd like I can see about discounted seats....right? (or even TKTS)

I got 2 rush tickets when I was in NYC 2 years ago. We were seated in the back row the stalls which meant that we missed pretty much all of the flying Spider-Man Rush Tickets

I've never been one to complain about rush ticket locations as I am happy to get any ticket cheap, but the person at the box office missed out on the chance to talk us into more expensive tickets! I would have paid more to see the flying, after all, that was my main reason for being interested in the show!

Does anyone know how many rush seats are sold for each performance? Thanks.
