The show closed in Chicago in July! Does anyone know whats happening with the show right now? I know they recorded a cast recording in August....

Last I heard was Fall 2017. It was a good show. A few small links here and there, but overall enjoyed myself immensely.

I liked it too. It was funny and creative and had a lot of problems, but overall I, my mother who knew nothing about spongebob, my sister who vaguely knew it, and my friend who is an expert on it, all enjoyed it. Hope it makes it to broadway soon!

I'll believe it when the source spells the theatre name correctly.

But seriously... source?

As mentioned its seven months tomorrow the show closed in Chicago.

Don't the producers option rights to produce the show run out after a certain time period?

Also was the OCR ever actually recorded?

When the producers are Viacom, which owns the property SpongeBob and commissioned the writing of the show, I'm sure they have rights for more than just a few months.
