Spongebob Songwriters

Hi all!  I just wanted to ask you what you thought of the score of Spongebob.  Which songwriter do you think should write an entire score for a musical?

Haha!  I really need to see Waitress.  She is an amazing songwriter.  What did you think of Jonathan Coulton's song, "Bikini Bottom Day"?  It was a great anthem for the show, IMO.

I'd love to see what Jonathan Coulton would do with an entire show.

I haven't listen to it yet, but I'm looking forward to Solid State, his latest album, that is supposedly a full story and has a graphic novel that accompanies it.

 

I also think They Might Be Giants probably have a full score in them somewhere.

 

Bendon Urie and Panic! as well wouldn't surprise me.

 

And, while they don't have a song in Spongebob, I'll throw out another wishful one as well: Barenaked Ladies were, at one point, tied to a musical version of Animal House. That seems dead in the water but I would love to see them find another project to the bring to Broadway.

Panic! could definitely write a great score.  I'll have to track down more of Jonathan Coulton's music.  I had actually never heard of him before this show.
