The Tonys seem to be helping Spring Awakening, Curtains, Mary Poppins, and Grey Gardens. Playbill says so...

Call the understudy / I can't go on tonight / I'm drinking with my buddy / I'm getting good and tight / Before they raise the curtain I'll be higher than a kite / So call the understudy I can't go on tonight

Very nice to hear the Grey Gardens and Curtains box offices went up as well. re: Spring Awakening Box Office Ignites Post-Tonys

I think was probably most excited to see that Grey Gardens got a boost in sales from the telecast. Sadly, I've yet to see the show, but after everything I've heard, it definitely deserves a strong audience.

No word on Company in the article though, which probably isn't a good thing...

I hope Company got a nice boost as well.

Grey Gardens rush today could only give the balcony. Each time I have gone I have gotten front row. It's great to see them doing better.

When I saw that they did not do a company number for Company, which may attact audiences, and opted instead to feature its only nominee, I knew that they had probably thrown in the towel. I bet it closes soon.

That's a good sign. It was a little discouraging to see that the Grey Gardens producers didn't give any specific numbers, but any boost is a good thing ... Let's hope the same is true for Company and that their omission from the story doesn't mean that the news isn't good.

Grey Gardens is now selling through 9/9. I think it had been selling through 6/17 or 6/24 before the Tonys.

Actually Grey Gardens has been selling till Sept 2 for the last couple of weeks. It looks like they just extended a little further.

I wonder what the Best Revival Tony will do for Company's box office?

Unfortunately for it's supporters, I believe Company's days to be numbered. I don't think it will last through July (if it makes July). It's not a show with a lot of appeal other than RE (IMO) and his not winning is gonna spell the end. The Revival Tony won't help (again IMO). I think most people will still go to the familiar shows like ACL.

Hmm, I wish GREY GARDENS gave some more specific numbers so we could know what kind of boost they really got!

And ashley, do you mean that GREY GARDENS only gives rush in the balcony now? or did you just not get there early enough to get rush seats in the orchestra?
