Spring Awakening - Get Digital?

Hey guys!

So I received an email today from the Spring Awakening newsletter stating:

After awakening Broadway 1 year ago with our groundbreaking Tony win for Best Musical 2007, Spring Awakening breaks the mold again with another Broadway first in...

4 DAYS and 2 HOURS

On Sunday, June 15th at 5pm, we invite you to log-on and get digital.

Does anyone have the slightest clue as to what this means?

I got this too and I actually came to BWW to see if there was a thread.

Are they streaming it online??

Yeah! The site said NOTHING about it.

re: Spring Awakening - Get Digital?

That would be REALLY cool if they did stream it online. Do you think they would do it?

re: Spring Awakening - Get Digital?

See, that's what I was thinking. But doesn't the show start at 3 PM on Sundays? I too went to the website, and I could not find anything concerning this. So confused!

It starts at 2 on Sundays.

I don't get why they say "our groundbreaking Tony win." What was groundbreaking about their Tony win?

re: Spring Awakening - Get Digital?

well, if the show starts at 2, and whatever it is is at 5, could they be talking to people AFTER the show via internet??? just a thought

re: Spring Awakening - Get Digital?

Why would they broadcast the show?

Anyone, who is smart enough, could easily record the data ("rip" the live stream) from it and save it on their computer.

it'd be like giving away a free bootleg - only better.

I doubt they're broadcasting the show.

I was just about to ask the same thing! The site said nothing at all, and now I'm really confused. =/

re: Spring Awakening - Get Digital?

I got it and interpreted it as a request to go to the SA website on Sunday before the Tony's. Otherwise, it makes absolutely no sense.

re: Spring Awakening - Get Digital?

It's probably a new site.
The site has been the same boring one since previews, and features pictures and videos from the off-Broadway production.

It'll probably be updated with new cast pictures, maybe video, but who knows. Don't hope for anything too exciting... because I have a feeling its gonna be lame.

re: Spring Awakening - Get Digital?

Why would they stream the show? That's like asking to lose tickets sales.

re: Spring Awakening - Get Digital?

Well, whatever it is. I doubt it's streaming the show, as nice as that would be. It's probably not a big deal and we're just going to have to wait until Sunday to find out what it is.
