re: Spring Awakening - Here I go Again

It's great to hear audiences are enjoying it so much. Other than a couple of songs, I didn't care for the show at all, but I do hope everyone involved will enjoy a successful run.

I've been listening to the OBC in anticipation of seeing this but I'm struggling with some of the lyrics. What does...

"We'll work that silver magic, then aim it at the wall"

...mean?

re: Spring Awakening - Here I go Again

here's something i never thought i'd do...use Legally Blonde to explain Spring Awakening...

silver magic refers to a males mastabatory emmissions re: Spring Awakening - Here I go Again

Sorry...i forgot about the halo that constantly hung above your head Mama...i promise never to corrupt your mind with images of young males singing about what comes out of their genitals :)

Close. I had 'Mirror-Blue Night' rather than 'Word of Your Body (Reprise)'. Melchior is very "OHCRAPSHEDIDN'TSEEDIDSHE?!?!?!?!?!" when Wendla walks in after it, and the choreography is *so* stylised that it simply *must* be representing something, amirite? ;D

Oh, I hadn't thought about that!

That makes sense!

WOYB reprise is odd, it isnt bout masturbation, but, there is innuendo's in it that could make it about that!

re: Spring Awakening - Here I go Again

I think it's a mutual masturbation thing, if anything. As far as I can tell, both versions of WOYB are about tentative explorations of another's body; boy/girl in the case of the first time, boy/boy in the case of the reprise. :)

Gosh, the lyrics of Spring Awakening are the gift that just keep on giving: they entertain you as you hear them sung, then you spend the next two years trying to work out what they mean. XD

re: Spring Awakening - Here I go Again

well they're obviously talking about making a cake. You put the sugar and eggs together and CREAM away until they are at a BLISSful consistancy. They took that right out of one of Nigella Lawsons books i think re: Spring Awakening - Here I go Again

re: Spring Awakening - Here I go Again

This was stolen Sandii Beeches book: "Guide to Sand Castles and Structures".

Page 45, Chapter 2: Moveable Sand

"So after you've finished creating your sphere of sand, use the previously shaped seaweed to create the shapes of the continents. However be careful when creating your sand sphere, make sure you use enough water. Once when i was lecturing, a young student of mine was doing this exact structure. i picked it up and he obviously didn't use enough water and i just stood there WATCHING HIS WORLD SLIP THROUGH MY FIST, it was too late to save it..."

They really have no imagination over at Spring Awakening do they! ughh

Day Seats?

Hate to bump up an old thread but thought it better than clogging the board up with a new one.

I went to see this last night and it is possibly the greatest thing I have ever seen. I hope to God these discounts will get something tirring because this is one show that really deserves to do well. It's so simple, so original and completely enthrally. The fastest couple of hours in the Lovepigeon's life.

Day Seats?

Went to see SA on Saturday night (after having already seen it in Hammersmith). LOVED it yet again. This time I had a stage seat. Obviously the view of some of the action is a bit limited and sometimes the proximity to the band made it hard to hear the vocals but the intimacy made it a quite fantastic experience, especially with members of the cast sitting next to me and in front of me.

I could honestly sit through this show again and again - which I could not say for more than a handful of shows. I genuinely think this is the best show currently running in the West End.

Loved it loved it loved it =) I was in the on stage seating, they're so good!

CONAries, the top two levels were empty, but the bottom two were full, my guess is they closed them and upgraded people. I really want this show to do well! =(
