Itunes just releases the ep from Spring Awakening in Soho. I just lestened to it, it sounds pretty good. Buy it!
Is this an acoustic thing? I think I heard or read about these but can't find out much info except the list of past bands that have done this.
Wow, thank you for sharing this info. I downloaded it and I'm quite impressed.

Could someone PM it to me? I don't have ITUNES
It's great to have a recording of Hunter Parrish doing "Left Behind" and for him to join OBC - John Gallagher Jr. and Lauren Pritchard. How did I miss this performance? Duncan Sheik sings "The Guilty Ones" too...not bad!
Socha sang with the group (Gallagher, Pritchard, Parris, & Sheik)in "Touch Me". No solo in this recording.

She did have a solo..they also did Word of Your Body, it just wasn't released. I wanted to hear her sing more too. I wish they gave her Ernst's part in Touch Me.
OOOOO! Just got it also... loving it!
Miraculous how incredible these songs can sound acoustically OR with orchestra. Mind-blowing. And WONDERFUL sound-quality. Perfect blend of speaking-voices, singing-voices, instruments and applause!
Guitars and cello and piano... I mean COME ON! Melt me...
An entertaining listening-experience because of all the chit-chat between each song. Some history of the show. How the songs got pieced together. The vibe of the original cast members being introduced to the material.
"The Bitch of Living" features John Gallagher Jr, Hunter Parrish and Duncan Sheik (who messes up the first verse lyric). Still a GREAT three-part harmony on "Oh who knooooows"
"Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind" features John Gallagher Jr and Lauren Pritchard, just as beautiful as ever. Different sound (John a bit deeper, Lauren a bit more biting)
"Left Behind" features Hunter Parrish (also the most popularly downloaded song of the 6-tracks on iTunes) Very emotive and sexy young-man sound, with grit and sadness. Sounds reminiscent of my college-days; listening to beautiful curly-haired beach-boys strumming away weeknights around a beach bonfire.
"The Guilty Ones" features Duncan Sheik... dripping authenticity. For some reason, the piano and string intro on this edition sounds even BETTER than the cast-album version. One of the best narrative poems in the show, in my opinion.
"And Then There Were None" solo-style with John Gallagher, Jr. Interesting without the read-outloud letter (kinda like it because you can soak in the piano better). Uh-huh Uh-huh Uh-huh well fine!
"Touch Me" features Duncan, John, Hunter, Lauren and Alexandra. Smooth and sexy. Thank goodness Lauren and Duncan are gonna tour together... couldn't be a more incredible young-woman voice for his music! Excellent to hear a gender-bending blend on this tune. AND great to have a recorded version of the current-lyrics (used in-show, which differ from album lyrics).
THANK YOU iTUNES LIVE!!!
i just bought it, its fantastic! its cool to have a recording of the old cast mixed with the new cast... JGJ is fantastic and Parrish is a fresh addition to the music.
i really love this show, but i LOVE the music. i could listen to it as a rock album on its own...
