Spring Awakening changes?

I recently saw Spring Awakening and this time around I felt like the 'sex scene' was really intense. You could have heard a pin drop in the audience. What I was wondering was- did they change that scene to make it this way. Sorry to be blunt, but I didn't remember Welda getting fingered the first time around, and the whole thing was just very dramatic this time around.

Sidenote- Hunter Parish was sick and had to alter a few of the high notes. You could tell he was clearly sick. During the end of "Left Behind" his voice totally gave out on the high notes.

She has always gotten fingered. But you're right in it being more intense than usual. Alexandra and Hunter get really into it.

When did you go to see Spring Awakening? Because i went a few nights ago and Hunter Parish's voice gave out on the high notes in "Left Behind" as well. Also at the end of "All That's Known" the ending note was an octave lower. I've seen him once before and don't remember him singing that note at the end of "All That's Known"

Hunter performed three show this weekend (all but Sunday matinee) and apparently he sounded very sick, and very bad during them.

I saw the show on saturday evening and although I enjoyed it for my second time. Hunter went of key during the end of The Mirror-blue night. Also he cracked at the very end of those you've known. It explains it if he was sick, but I have heard from other people who have seen the show through out his run that his voice was always really weak on the high notes of his songs. I love hunter but i do think that he is more of a actor. I actually felt that most of the new cast were much better actors then they were singers.
