Change the title!#2

And we made it thus far without a spoiler thread...
I would've given it to Curtains over SA.

Posted: 6/10/07 at 8:55pmOh God. He's talented an all, but come on! I don't want this thing to sweep. There's so much better stuff out there.

Posted: 6/10/07 at 8:57pmI enjoyed watching Bebe leap backwards when Bill T. Jones came toward her. Priceless!

Posted: 6/10/07 at 9:07pmWHAT!!!! I can't believe it won! I enjoyed the choreography in SA but I didn't think it deserved to get nominated over the underdog Pirate Queen and the fact that it won just baffles me. But congrats to them anyway.

Posted: 6/10/07 at 9:09pmCan you change your title? There's people who haven't been able to see the actual ceremony yet, it's pretty unfair to spoil it for them.

Look at the headlines people.

Yeah johnny, but at least we KNOW going into one of those threads there will be spoilers. We just had to open Broadwayworld.com to see this.
re: Spring Awakening wins choreography#10
Posted: 6/10/07 at 9:21pmI just realized that, very inconsiderate of BWW.com I think. But yeah, if you have the winners on the headlines, I guess a spoiler thread doesn't really matter. Knock yourself out, hehe.
re: Spring Awakening wins choreography#11
Posted: 6/10/07 at 9:22pmI will say one thing, though I didn't find his work all that remarkable, it was not typical "tippy tap Broadway all smiles stuff." You know what I mean. Maybe his win will encourage Broadway choreographers to be more ambitious.
re: Spring Awakening wins choreography#12
Posted: 6/10/07 at 9:22pmNo, some people ignore the headlines.

Posted: 6/11/07 at 1:51amThis wasn't shocking at all. This was predicted by almost everyone in the industry, as well as most people on this board. I'm glad he won.

"yes, one of the many shockers of the evening!"
Unless, of course, you realize that people were trying to send a signal to young people that theatre was a viable option.
The ignorance here astounds me - especially from those who CLAIM to be interested in the business of theatre!

Posted: 6/11/07 at 1:56amI was only suprised, beacuse in terms of choreography, I felt that there were much stronger candidates.
WTF?#20
Posted: 6/11/07 at 1:59amEh. I immediately thought so too, at first - but when you sit back and look at all the other nominees, there really weren't.

ANY routine you do is going to require practice. And while theirs may not have been as crisp and clean like Curtains, it requires work.
I'm not defending their win, I am merely pointing out the obvious that no matter what you do, it will always require practice.
