Thank you so much Kevo! If you got pics with the "Boys", I'd love to see them.
And Daniel Reichard can talk for as long as he wants as far as I'm concerned. lol. He's absolutely adorable. SUCH an amazing voice. Whenever I listen to the cast recording I have to blare December 1963 (Oh What a Night). So he's as much of a sweetie as he seems? What about the rest of the guys? Christian Hoff seems the most...serious..I guess. lol True?

Posted: 1/11/06 at 6:42amThanks for all the helpful info.I saw Chicago in October when Brooke Shields was in the cast, so I know how quick the Chicago cast leaves(I was lucky enough to meet her and Luba Mason).I am counting on it for my Chicago/Odd Couple plan to work.I know it will be crazy when John O'Hurley and Robin Givens begin their run(They are why I am seeing it again).I should be able to pull it off seeing that the theaters are two blocks apart and I have a one hour window.I did the same thing with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Sweet Charity in September (Met John,Norbert, and Gregory Jbara from Scoundrels-Wayne Knight and Christina Aplegate from Charity). However it turns out, I am excited about everything.I am seeing Dog See God and Wicked that week after Chicago and The Odd Couple.

Posted: 1/11/06 at 8:34amDoes "Dog Sees God" still have Eliza Dushku, Ian Somerhalder and...someone else? lol. I know there was someone else I should know but I can't think who.

"Just remember, Be kind, Grateful and don't rush anyone or invade their space - most are very kind indeed. It's always polite to ask for photo's , even if it is JUST them in it. You'll be amazed what a little extra kindness gets you. Happy Dooring! "
This is something everyone should always keep in mind and is worth repeating!

I have a lot of experience with that. I PA (personal assistant) sometimes for Booster Events (they hold fan conventions) and I've seen all kinds of fans. The pushy ones are by far the worst, although usually the guests are good with handling everyone sometimes they lose their tempers and I can't blame them. Nathan Fillion (Two Guys and a Girl, Serenity/Firefly) was by far the best with handling the pushy fans.
I don't think I could be like that even if I wanted to (and why would I?). I'm usually the one who doesn't know what to say. lol

Posted: 1/11/06 at 2:19pmJust say what comes to mind, with a little prep. if need be. The cast's to both shows were equally as nice when I saw them. All members signed my playbills, and Patti was divine!! I love that she's a former Long Islander, such as myself. Enjoy the shows and don't hesitate to speak with them. They're human!!!

lol. It's not that I don't want to talk to them, it's just that my mind inevitably draws a blank when I see them. Or at least it did in Chicago. Luckily Telly and Kris make it very easy to talk to them. lol.
Should I maybe tell John who I am? I mean, we e-mail back and forth all the time so he might recognize the e-mail address. idk

Posted: 1/11/06 at 4:14pmSure. I once introduced myself to an actor by my BWW sn (he reads the boards) and he was like "Oh, HI!" and hugged me. I figure it's better to establish the recognition in person than after the fact online. ("Remember me? I was the blonde girl at the stagedoor. No, not the 12 other ones, I was wearing jeans and a peacoat!")

I'm so excited. At least now I have a date to tell John when I'm going.
If you don't mind my asking, who was the actor?

Posted: 1/12/06 at 12:12amYeah I wrote to Michael Cavanaugh (Movin' Out) and we emailed a lot. So when I went to the show and went to the stage door I said my name and he knew who I was. He was so great. He brought me backstage too and was the best!

When I came home from school yesterday my dad had three computer printouts on the pillow in my room. They were the confirmation papers he got when he bought the Jersey Boys tickets, and the chart of the theater so I could see where our seats are. I seriously jumped up and down for like 20 minutes. I cannot wait. I think we have good seats too. idk. You guys would know better than I would. We have seats in the Left Orchestra Row S, seats 5 & 7. anyone know how those are?
Unfortunately, plans may change again and JB might be the only show we see. Dad said he's gonna hold off on buying any more B'Way tickets until he sees my grades (it's finals week)...oh ****. Lets just say, I'm not the best student. lol

I just wanted everybody to know how my week in NYC went.It was an amazing week at the shows and the stage doors.
After I saw Chicago on Tuesday.I got outside right away. The advice to do so paid off as I got to meet much of the supporting cast:
Benard Dotson (Who played Billy Flynn the last time I saw Chicago with Brooke as Roxie)
Solange Sandy
Debra Monk
Bryn Dowling
Gabriela Garcia (Not Guilty!)
and
Bruce Winant
Amra-Faye Wright, John O'Hurley and Robin Givens were the last to come out.I got all their autographs and a picture with John.Other than one minor incident( https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.cfm?boardname=bway&thread=884225#1820802 )it was incredible.
Since I had time before I had to be to The Odd Couple door, I went to the Sweeney door.I did not get any autographs (I will be seeing Sweeney a week from Thursday), but did see everyone come out.I just wanted to get familiar with the cast the routine.
At the Odd Couple stage door I got autographs from all the cast.Mike Starr was first out, followed by Nathan,Rob,Jessica, and Matthew. After Matthew left, everybody outside left.Nobody waited to see Olivia except me.She came out about 15 minutes later and was flattered to see that some was still waiting.I am glad I got to see them all, because no one came out the next day after the matinee, and Olivia was out of the show that day.
That night, I went to Dog Sees God.It was another great performance(This show is the best kept secret in NY theater).I met and got autographs from the entire cast(Including an early Happy Bitrhday from Keith Nobbs(Van).I also got pictures with Karen Diconcetto (Playing the role of Tricia replacing Kelli Garner that night) and Eliza Dushku.Eliza was flattered that I had a mini-poster from the movie Bye, Bye Love I asked her to sign. She was showing all her castmates the poster and saying "Look as how cute I was then!",. She is such a sweetheart.
Since I was done at DSG at 10, I went back to Broadway to the DRS door.I met Dennis Parlato(Filling in for Jonathan Pryce all week),Laura Marie Duncan (Filling in For SRS), and Gregory Jbara.I got autographs and pictures with Laura and Gregory(I love how gregory makes sure everbody who wants a picture with him gets one). The next day, I met Norbert before the show.
The next person I met was not at a stage door, but at Barnes & Noble across from Lincoln Center. There was a Discussion and CD signing for a new movie( the Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada)with composer Marco Beltrami and actor and director Tommy Lee Jones.I was in shock to get this chance because I had only foung out about it that morning.I got two autographs from each, Mr. Jones wished me a Happy Birthday and mentioned that me an his mother must have been the only ones who saw the film Cobb.
My last stage door was Wicked.Although I was not blown away by the show, I did have a good time.I met Christy Candler, Derrick Willams, Megan Hilty (Who wished me a Happy Birthday), and Eden Espinosa.I got pictures with Megan and Eden.
This was a great week for me.I met so many nice people, including some from this board I am sure.I want to thank everyone who gave me tips and advice on my journeys.

I wouldn't go that far Skittles
(It's soo funny you said that BTW, when the couple of us at the stage door were waiting, we commented on that Sweeney's one of the nicest casts so another girl there said yeah but if pressed she thinksAvenue Q's is the nicest...which of couse I had to say no DRS' is and we "fought" playfully, though I really think I win...and you know what same applies for Sweeney and Spelling Bee...all incredibily nice casts...but DRS has more/the most nice ppl b/c they have the largest cast so they have the most nice ppl so they're still the nicest cast...I win! Great logic huh?
