I dont know if you can "stagedoor" with pics and autographs etc...?
Stage dooring on opening nights is hit-or-miss because sometimes the actors leave through the stage door as usual and sometimes they leave out the front exit to do press interviews and photos.
In theatres where the stage door is on a different street from the main entrance, this is an issue.
I prefer pre-show stage dooring on opening nights at the main entrance, because you get some of the actors making their red carpet entrances, as well as the celebrities who are attending. I met Olivia Newton-John that way at XANADU's opening night.
Don't do it! If the actors do come out the stage door, there'll be a mob of happy excited "omg it's opening night!" people. And there's always a chance they won't come out, because they've got an excellent party to go to the vast majority of the time. Even if they did come out before going to their party, I'd feel bad for holding them up. Save it for a normal day.

I did this for Cry Baby's opening, and it was honestly the best Stage Door experience I ever had! Not only did EVERYONE come out, but noone else was there! Definately go!
