I went to see this show tonight, and I highly recommed that anyone who can should get to the Papermill Playhouse in NJ this week to catch the end of the run. The show is terrific, led by Kelly Bishop and Beth Fowler. Legally Blonde fans will be pleased to know that Kate Wetherhead does well as Annelle. The entire cast is great, and gets every one of the many laughs in the script. I had never seen a production of Steel Magnolias before, but I am very familiar with the movie. So, although the dialogue was familiar, this cast made everything seem very fresh.

Posted: 3/30/08 at 10:43pmI saw this a couple of weeks ago and highly recommend it, too. Kelly Bishop is perfection as Clairee! Though I'm biased since I'm a big fan of hers, she was the best in my opinion.
